This workshop will help you understand what respite services are and how to apply for them through Regional Center. In order to provide caregivers with the occasional relief they need to keep the child in the family home, regional centers may provide respite care when medical, physical, or behavioral needs cannot be met by other family members or a regular babysitter. This overview will discuss the most common questions about respite services, and other family supports for children and adults with developmental disabilities who live at home.
