Presentation Topic : Special Education Basics

* Your loved ones have the right to a free and appropriate public education in the least restrictive environment.

* Rights at an IEP meeting, Goals & Objectives, Section 504, Due Process, Mediation, and Compliance Complaints will be discussed.

* Gain insights into the rights, processes, and services your loved ones are entitled to under special education

Workshop Topic : CREATING A LIFE BOOK

* Learn how to create a "Life Book" so that you will have all of the pertinent information needed for your loved ones at your fingertips. Some sections of the Life Book include Goals, Education, Health/Medical Forms and Letters, Legal/Rights Information, and any other documentation needed.

This workshop aims to create a supportive community and share valuable information to empower parents and caregivers. We believe that by coming together, we can build a network of strength, understanding, and advocacy.
